Student Organizations

MAA – Mathematical Association of America

The MAA encourages participation in mathematics at a collegiate level. They promote student research and professional development through participation in active student chapters. The Mathematical Association of America also hosts frequent seminars and conferences that value discussion and exposition for student development.

PHSC -- Pioneer Health Service Corps

Pioneer Health Service Corps provides medical mission opportunities to students in places such as Myanmar, providing students practical application in health service. The organizations offers students practice tests in their chosen pre-health fields and also encourages student involvement through community service projects.

SCACS -- The Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society

SCACS encourages leadership growth through community service projects and provides professional development opportunities to students with career interests in chemistry related fields.

TAS -- Texas Academy of Science

The Texas Academy of Science promotes research and scholarly activities among students. The association hosts an annual statewide meeting for active, university chapters and encourages conservation and wildlife preservation through partnerships with local agencies.

WBUGS – Wayland Baptist University Geological Society

The WBUGS raises awareness of geological sciences and offers service projects and field trips to deepen student’s personal knowledge of the environment and the community.
